Changing Times, Changing Tools

I read this article called "Learning with Blogs and Wikis."  I know what blogs are thanks to my sister and sister-in-law, and am excited for this opportunity to finally have one of my own.  It won't have any cute pictures of kids however, or any potty training stories for that matter.  I could put up pictures of my plants that I've managed to keep alive for over a year.  I have a different purpose in mind for this blog.  This article states that "technology has made it easy for educators to embrace continual professional development."  Blogs for PD?  Brilliant! Like the picture of the dandelion and its seeds blowing in the wind, I hope that this blog can be a place for ideas to spread and maybe take root somewhere.
